EON Reality, an AR-VR-based training and education content provider, announces a new grant to support XR (extended reality) research teams around the world. The latest Research Grant Program closely follows the success of the Grant Guarantee Program aimed at numerous universities and other locations, according to the announcement.
EON Reality’s Board of Directors will only consider applicants who fit into the 10 pre-determined categories, which include IOT-based digital twins, safety and security warning systems, AI-based annotation and knowledge hubs, and campus-wide XR deployment studies.
EON Reality plans to cover 99% of the required funds for an XR research center for 5,000 students and 750 employees/interns for up to 5 years, the announcement specifies.
The core of every XR research center funded by the Research Grant Program is EON-XR, the company's solution that incorporates tablets and head-mounted displays. EON Reality writes, “The flagship all-purpose platform brings immersive and interactive lessons and content to students, educators, and businesses of all types and sizes, so it provides a solid foundation for those developing more advanced XR research and applications.”
The Research Grant Program is currently open to qualified candidates, as is the ongoing XR creation competition. For more information and to apply for the new program, visit EON Reality's dedicated page.
