Romax Technology introduces Romax Nexus, a new suite that combines the company’s separate products for drivetrain and related electromechanical drive systems. More than a rebranding of its award-winning RomaxDesigner, Romax Nexus takes all the existing Romax CAE technologies and assembles it as a collaborate suite.
“We’ve broken down boundaries to bring people closer together and interfacing to the tools you use,” says Romax Technology CEO Andy Poon, calling Nexus a “solution-oriented” ecosystem approach to drive systems simulation and analysis.
Romax Nexus combines separate applications under one collaborative umbrella: Romax Concept: Early stage exploration of drivetrain ideas; Romax Enduro: Structural simulation and optimization of electro-mechanical drive systems; Romax Spectrum: Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) simulation from gear and machine design through to vehicle sound quality; Romax Energy: A global efficiency tool for drivetrains and transmissions; Romax Spin: Advanced simulation of rolling element bearings for bearing designers and application engineers; Romax Evolve: Electro-mechanical analysis for electrical machine designers; and Romax Dynamic Function: Generation of multibody models with an optimal balance of accuracy and complexity.
The elements of Romax Nexus may be used independently or together, and have been designed to encourage the use of other CAE products alongside the Romax workflow.
Romax Nexus is cloud-enabled to make it easier to collaborate with other engineers, and includes interfaces to the most common products engineers use in CAD and CAE. Romax Technology says Nexus goes beyond its previous flagship product RomaxDesigner with new motor design and analysis capabilities, advanced features for exploring bearing dynamics, a new UX/UI for the entire suite, and a common file format for all products in the suite.
