Creaform has unveiled its new HandyPROBE arm-free and portable optical CMM system. The HandyPROBE optical probing system features the TRUaccuracy technology, which the company says generates measurements of up to 22 µm (0.001 in.).
According to Product Director Jean-Fran ois Larue, “the gain in productivity and the outstanding measurement reliability of the HandyPROBE explain the system’s sky-rocketing 118% YOY (year-over-year) sales increase. Plus, they are definite key points in the decision of aerospace, aeronautics, automotive and nuclear industry leader companies such as the European Space Agency, EADS (Airbus), Safran, Pratt & Whitney, BMW and Honda to provide their plants with the system. It has been used on five continents for several years now to control various types of parts on production floors’ harsh environments. Some of our clients have cut down their control time by 10, while others were able to reduce human error occurrences by five.”
The redesigned HandyPROBE will be premiering at the EMO metalworking show in Hannover, Germany on September 19 and at the Quality Expo show in Chicago USA on September 20.
