Coreform is rebranding of its software, Trelis, as Coreform Cubit, with new capabilities.
Following its recent acquisition of csimsoft and announcement of worldwide commercial distribution rights to Cubit Technology developed by Sandia National Labs, Coreform LLC says it will rebrand Trelis as Coreform Cubit.
The new release of Coreform Cubit also introduces beta functionality to support isogeometric analysis (IGA). The new version of Coreform Cubit will include all of the modeling capabilities of Trelis plus advanced modeling capabilities and interfaces to support the Coreform IGA solver.
“The Trelis and Cubit brands are both used by leading defense, aerospace, and automotive companies, as well as by cutting-edge researchers and at the US national labs,” says Coreform CEO Matt Sederberg. “The rebrand of Trelis as Coreform Cubit reflects our tighter, exclusive relationship with Sandia as we accelerate and broaden Cubit's premier position as the go-to meshing solution for challenging simulations across industries.”
The announcement comes on the heels of other major advancements by the company. Earlier this year, Coreform was recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. by the Inc. 5000 list, coming in at #594. Its home state of Utah also recognized it as #15 in the fastest-growing companies in the state. The rebrand coincides with a major Coreform Cubit software update, including a new free Coreform Cubit Learn license available for students and hobbyists for non-commercial use.
