Ontonix (Sondrio, ITALY and Novi, MI) has released an update to OntoSpace, its flagship software tool for comprehensive and practical quantification and management of complexity.

“The second version of OntoSpace is an important step forward with respect to version 1.0 which was launched one year ago”, said Dr. J. Marczyk, CTO and founder of Ontonix. “In fact, the tool is now capable of treating incomplete data sets. This, very often, is a characteristic of field data which, unlike data originating from computer simulations, is not always complete,” he continued.

In addition to this new fundamental feature, OntoSpace v2.0 can compute the maximum complexity a given evolving dynamical system may reach. This is a fundamental piece of information for anyone interested in sustainable development, as it is close to this limit that a system becomes difficult to manage. The vulnerability of a given system is inversely proportional to the difference between the current complexity and the upper complexity limit.

In addition to these two major new features, there are numerous improvements and refinements in most of the algorithms and functions. For more detailed information, visit ontonix.com.
