CCE Expands Capabilities of Unified Interop Libraries

The platform now supports Creo, NX and CATIA V6 translators.

CCE, a provider of advanced interoperability technology and engineering services has updated its Unified Interop (UIOp) libraries. The libraries were revised to support features that represent entity names in the native CAD system along with instance path. Identifiers are now supported in Creo, NX and CATIA V6, in addition to CATIA V5 and SolidWorks.

The UIOp is a set of independent interoperability libraries for Parasolid based CAx systems that provide read access to information stored in 3D CAD files.

UIOp’s CATIA V5 translator now allows grouping of translated entities to respective geometric sets, providing users the ability to display the model tree as it appears in the native CAD system. The SolidWorks translator has also been enhanced to support a new attribute specifying configuration name attached to Parasolid instance in an assembly.

Other features include a  translation filter that is now available to process points and the functionality to create an XML file in addition to an output Parasolid file.

“We’ve increased the speed of translation and support persistent id’s across more CAD platforms,” said Vinay Wagle, vice president of sales and marketing, CCE. “Our newest UIOp release includes customer requested enhancements to process points, store component level attributes and more.”
