COADE (Houston, TX) says its CADWorx 2007 plant design suite provides full support for AutoCAD 2007 from Autodesk, Inc.(San Rafael, CA) so process industry designers can take advantage ofthe latest enhancements in AutoCAD 2007. According to a press release,CADWorx 2007 means plant designers can be more productive and realizetheir ideas faster by gaining access to AutoCAD’s enhanced tools.
These enhancements include Dashboard, which helps CADWorx users editand view design information by grouping various design tools all in oneplace; Advanced Navigation, which expands existing navigation tools byallowing transparent pans or zooms in either orthogonal or perspectivemode; Walk and Path Animation Tools that simplify path-basedwalkthrough and animations inside of AutoCAD so plant designers can nowproduce critical plant tours that are realistic and distributable.
According to COADE, the intuitive program offers intelligent drawing todatabase connectivity, advanced levels of automation and easy-to-usedesign techniques. It has been adopted by EPC firms and owner operatorsin the process, power, water treatment, pharmaceutical, food, beverage,and semiconductor industries. CADWorx, says COADE, also offers truebi-directional integration between CAD and stress analysis, linkingCADWorx with COADE’s industry-leading software programs for pipe(CAESAR II) and pressure vessel (PV Elite) analysis and design.
