BOXX Technologies announced its designation as an official sponsor of various SOLIDWORKS User Groups (SWUGs) throughout the United States. SWUGs provide education and networking opportunities for engineers and product designers who use 3D CAD design software. A designated SOLIDWORKS Solution Partner and manufacturer of SOLIDWORKS-certified APEXX workstations, BOXX uses SOLIDWORKS software to design its workstation, server and rendering system chassis.
For many years, engineers, product designers and other creative professionals have trusted BOXX innovation to power SOLIDWORKS,” says Bill Leasure, BOXX VP of Marketing. “They rely on our experience and expertise, so as SOLIDWORKS users ourselves, we’re excited about lending our support to these SWUG organizations as they facilitate their members’ success with important education and information.”
Through whitepapers, benchmarks, videos and more, BOXX is educating SOLIDWORKS users on their specific workflows, how to properly configure a workstation and how BOXX consistently outperforms multinational commodity workstations. With systems like the new APEXX S3, featuring a liquid-cooled, overclocked, 9thgeneration Intel Core i7 or i9 processor and NVIDIA Quadro graphics, BOXX APEXX workstations provide support for single-threaded engineering applications like SOLIDWORKS.
The hardware manufacturer also works closely with SOLIDWORKS users to customize their workstations in order to accelerate workflows and increase productivity. BOXX is initiating their SWUG sponsorships with user groups in Central Texas; Colorado; eastern Iowa; St. Joseph, MO; WNC-Ashville, NC; Portland Area, OR; and Orange County, CA; however, they insist that this is just the beginning. The company plans to steadily expand to all SWUG organizations across the United States.
BOXX builds machines custom-configured for SOLIDWORKS. “Sponsoring SWUG groups throughout country enables us to work directly with engineers and product designers, and support them with critical information at a personal level,” Leasure says.
