Boothroyd Dewhurst Inc. is hosting its 30th annual International Forum on Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, RI. The conference will run from June 2-3 and its theme is “Three Decades of Innovation.”
The forum, according to the company, is the foremost conference on methodologies and software. It also offers insight and solutions to managers, design engineers and supply chain experts interested in up-front product development.
“The DFMA Forum has served to shine a light on industry innovation for many years, across very challenging periods in recent design and manufacturing history,” said John Gilligan, president of Boothroyd Dewhurst Inc. “Our forum guest speakers have come from every process category imaginable — be that molding, casting or 3D-printing industries — each aiming to show attending OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) how manufacturing advances can deliver on their parts-consolidation strategies and improve competitiveness. As testimony to DFMA’s core role, no matter what generation of digital technology emerged to assist engineering, users speaking at the Forum these past three decades have reported average cost avoidance of 50%.”
