Quickparts (Atlanta,GA) announced the availability of its new specialized medical grade materials for Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), and Cast Urethane Molding. These materials meet the growing needs of customers with stringent product development and manufacturing requirements in the medical industry.
Materials being offered for specialized medical applications include Duraform PA for the SLS process, PC-ISO for the FDM process, and RC-79D for Cast Urethane Molding.
A nylon-based material that meets the requirements for USP Class VI classification, Duraform PA may be safely used to produce articles intended for processing, handling and packaging non-alcoholic food, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
An industrial thermoplastic, PC-ISO, is compliant with the ISO-1099-3 and Class VI classification, and has a notable reputation throughout packaging and medical device manufacturing community where it is widely used.
RC-79D is approved for many medical applications including MRI coil housings. It is also a UL 94V0 registered flame retardant polyurethane.
