Autodesk announces updates to InfoWorks WS Pro. The company has released InfoWorks WS Pro 2024.3.
InfoWorks TS in the Cloud (2024.3)
InfoWorks transient analysis is now fully supported in the cloud. Users can run multiple scenarios simultaneously, meaning you can run nearly unlimited surge event analyses in the cloud as needed.
Once the transient analysis is completed in the cloud, the results automatically download for analysis and viewing. This allows you to set up your surge break event and model multiple different solutions in parallel. Conversely, you could model different problems and uncertainties in parallel—providing flexibility and options to modelers exploring variable scenarios.
Improved Engine Stability (2024.1-3)
The team introduced features to improve control valve stability, reducing the manual work to achieve model stability, and enabling complex “Digital Twin” style models.
Introduction of IExchange for InfoWorks WS Pro (2024.2)
WS Pro Exchange (IExchange) was released earlier this year enabling users to run scripts from a command prompt. This feature allows a customization for advanced users working in Ruby.
Generalized Multi-run Improvements (2024.1-3)
This milestone update also leans into InfoWorks WS Pro’s strength in cloud computing with generalized multi-run improvements. InfoWorks WS Pro enables criticality analysis based on isolation areas. You can also join results to maps based on any available field.
When observing criticality in a water network, you’re examining your distribution network in isolation areas, rather than individual pipes. This update further aligns the simulation process in InfoWorks WS Pro with this methodology, also leveraging the parallel cloud computing functionality mentioned when you run the simulations.
