AMAX has announced the next-generation AMAX ServMax H Class 4-way and 8-way HPC server solutions that are optimized for the latest Intel Xeon E7 family processors. The H Class server solutions include large core counts and memory support.
The ServMax H Class platforms deliver 2.67GHz performance and turbo boost technology to achieve even faster speeds, with up to 40% performance improvement for data-intensive software applications such as ANSYS, AMBER 11, Jacket and 3ds Max, according to AMAX. The H Class features up to 10 processing cores and 20 threads, eight sockets, memory support for 2TB with Millbrook2, and additional 30MB of L3 cache. The H Class incorporates enhanced encryption processes to increase encryption and decryption rates, resulting in faster execution and added protection against software targeted attacks.
Boasting low-power features, Gold-level power supplies, and C6 power-saving mode, the H Class solutions, the new processors enable up to 95% lower operating costs and an estimated return on investment in as little as eight months. AMAX’s line of scalable HPC solutions are well suited for web serving, virtualization and cloud computing workloads.
“By integrating our new Intel Xeon processor E7 family, AMAX has developed a comprehensive line of HPC platforms to address their HPC customer demands for full-featured platforms and ultimate performance that accelerates their time to discovery and innovation,” says Boyd Davis, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Data Center Group Marketing. “AMAX has been a long-term partner of Intel and our collaboration has supported AMAX’s commitment to supplying solutions that deliver the performance and scalability to address the demanding needs of HPC deployments.”
