Altran, a global high-tech engineering consulting firm, has renewed its technical partnership with the Lotus F1 Team for the 2014 season.
The partnership began in 2013, a company press release states. This allows Altran to continue providing innovation and technical support services. In 2013, Altran helped support development on the E22 racing car, including the gearbox dyno, front wing and rear suspension.
Altran has also assisted in creating projects for the F1 team, such as a driver simulator and wind tunnel upgrades.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Lotus F1 Team, a relationship that is based on a shared passion for innovation and a relentless desire to stay ahead of the competition,” said Mike Simms, CEO of Altran UK. “The 2014 season brings with it a raft of new racing regulations, which require all F1 teams to undergo a major change of direction in terms of engineering design and execution. Altran is playing a critical role in enabling Lotus F1 Team to rise to this challenge successfully, and we look forward to an exciting and successful year ahead.”
