AKKA Technologies, Dassault Systemes Partner to Create Self-Driving Car

AKKA Technologies and Dassault Systemes have entered a long-term partnership focused on promoting innovation within the self-driving connected vehicle market. With this partnership, a press release states, the companies will offer high-end engineering services and solutions within the global automotive industry.

Both companies will work to create a solution for cloud-enabled vehicle services and a driverless vehicle. AKKA Technologies is currently in the process of developing the Link & Go, a dual-mode, connected, urban, electric car.

The features of the car include enhanced vehicle location capabilities, directional suspension, automatic parking in specified spaces, a graphic interface of the instrument cluster and a central human-machine interface.

To help design the car, AKKA is relying on Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform to develop, design, simulate and validate on a single cloud platform.

“The challenges of creating mobility experiences of the future are fundamentally transforming the entire industry,” said Bernard Charlès, president and CEO, Dassault Systemes. “What does a car experience look like when you tie it to the cloud, infotainment, mapping and GPS, and so many more services?
