Agilent Technologies Inc. (Palo Alto, CA) and privately held Eagleware Corp.(Norcross, GA), which does business as Eagleware-Elanix, announced anagreement for Agilent to acquire substantially all of the assets andbusiness of Eagleware-Elanix. No amount for the transaction is beingreleased.
The acquisition would bring together two product portfolios seen ashaving many complementary capabilities. Agilent’s EEsof division is aleader in the high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) market,especially in high-end tools. Eagleware-Elanix, noted for products thatare easy to use, provides system and circuit design software for thecommunications industry. The company is also known for itstechnological leadership in tools for high-frequency design synthesis.
Eagleware-Elanix, established in 1985, expects most of its employees tojoin Agilent’s EEsof division. Eagleware-Elanix brings to Agilent itskey products. They include GENESYS, an integrated high-frequency designsuite; more than 10 RF and microwave component synthesis tools forfilter, matching, oscillator, amplifier, PLL, mixer design, and others;the SystemVue design environment with an intuitive block levelinterface for development, simulation, and analysis; and unique systemarchitecture design and analysis capabilities built around the spectraldomain simulation capabilities in SPECTRASYS.
