Adobe Systems announced Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite 3 (ES3), which includes enhanced data services for building enterprise and mobile applications, improved correspondence management capabilities, and streamlined content management connectors for smoother integration with Microsoft SharePoint and IBM FileNet.

LiveCycle ES3 incorporates the LiveCycle Data Services ES3 module (4.6.1), an optimized Java server framework that can enhance and simplify the development of rich, data-intensive enterprise and mobile applications. With LiveCycle Data Services ES3, enterprises and agencies can speed up the development of high-performance, enterprise applications with real-time or near real-time data, audio and video interaction. Updates include native libraries for rapidly creating mobile applications and an SAP Java connector for creating front-end interfaces to SAP systems that are more intuitive and immersive for end users.

LiveCycle ES3 correspondence management services streamlines customer and constituent correspondence from creation to archiving by enabling organizations to assemble individualized customer correspondence using templates, pre-approved content blocks, interactive documents, and custom-authored personalization without the help of IT. Customers and constituents receive timely, accurate, convenient, secure, and relevant communication every time. As a result, organizations can maximize the value of customer and constituent interactions, minimize cost and risk,  and increase speed and productivity.

The LiveCycle ES3 release provides enhanced capabilities for securing documents on mobile devices. Adobe Reader 10.1 for iOS and Android now incorporates support for accessing files secured by Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES3. LiveCycle Rights Management protects sensitive documents by encrypting them with industry standard AES encryption and enabling central management of their access permissions. These protections persist even when sensitive documents are accidentally distributed via e-mail, the cloud or a lost mobile device.
