Dutch 3D printer manufacturer Builder has released its Big Builder unit, which has a 220 x 210 x 665 mm (8.7 x 8.3 x 26 in.) build volume. With a 30-liter capacity, the company says it is one of the largest consumer 3D printers on the market.
The printer also features the company’s dual-feed extruder system, so users can print in two colors through a single print head. It can print at a 50-micron layer resolution, and has a powder coated steel frame, a controller unit, a display and an SD card slot.
The dual-feed extruder is able to switch filaments while using only one nozzle. The technology was introduced during the 2013 London 3D Print show.
