fabWeaver, a new global 3D brand, has developed a new budget-friendly 3D printing platform for prototyping, the company reports. The fabWeaver type A530, built with industrial designers, engineers and product designers in mind, delivers what it calls “office-friendly, factory worthy” prototyping machines, according to fabWeaver.

fabWeaver developed the printer to bring high-end repeatable 3D printing capability to offices worldwide. The type A530 was initially soft-launched in November, 2021 in Europe, and will continue with a second launch in the U.S. in the early part of 2022 at 2022 AMUG expo (Additive Manufacturing Users Group) in Chicago in April (Booth D6).  Rapid+TCT, Booth 1146, is also reserved for the fabWeaver type A530.

The fabWeaver type A530 was designed and optimized for creating functional and design prototypes. The workstation has a large chamber to maintain and control consistent internal temperature and boost in the process. The fabWeaver solves problems relating to power outages through a recovery function and improves print accuracy relating to positioning with a closed-loop motor control.

The fabWeaver type A530 also can operate non-stop with an automatic feeding system so that teams are able to increase speed of iteration in the prototyping process. It also provides user-friendly tools to enhance workflows with Weaver3 Cloud and mobile and manages and monitors the systems with Weaver3 Studio before printing prototypes.

The type A530 prototyping workstation builds a volume of 310x310x310 mm (12.2x12.2x12.2 in.) in all three dimensions and is suitable for all applications. Dual-nozzles help users print out multi-color models. The type A530’s Automatic Feeding System enables non-stop printing.

The workstation’s large heated build chamber controls the temperature to 75 degrees C inside. The type A530 has relatively low noise that makes it suitable for placement in professional and industrial work environments, especially in engineering, industrial design, education and architecture.

The type A530 augments its solid structural design with an intuitive and easy-to-use touch screen coupled with a plug-and-play USB port and wireless connection to ease initial downloads and setup, regardless of user experience. Users can focus their attention on creating functional prototypes and industrial-level parts.

While the fabWeaver type A530 is a fused filament fabrication (FFF) printer suitable for most offices, it features industrial-level capabilities and materials. Highly configurable, the platform allows users to save printing time removing hybrid-support materials. For designers and engineers with requirements for building reliable working models, the initial materials available for use on the type A530 include ABS, ASA, PLA, composite materials with more materials to be supported soon, and the PLA specified for use on the type A530 comes in multiple color options.
