Systat Software Inc., a developer of scientific software and services, released its latest version of SigmaPlot. The data analysis and graphing software now has increased ease of use to quickly analyze data and create exact, publication-quality graphs, the company states.
The software has two new analysis methods for extracting information. Analysis of Covariance improves the description of data by adding the effect of nuisance variables. Direct Labeling places legend items next to plots instead of in a legend, allowing faster understanding of graphs. Twenty-four probability functions have also been added for function fitting or curve visualization.
Major features of version 13 include:
- A Forest plot which combines like studies to improve statistical significance.
- A Kernel density plot that is a smooth curve representation of underlying distribution.
- Ten new color schemes
- Principal components analysis that determines major data relationships.
- Line widths from a column for custom graph creation.
- Vector PDF export
SigmaPlot version 13 is offered in single user, network and site license options.
“More than 500,000 scientists and engineers have used SigmaPlot worldwide. It has long been the industry standard for graphing and analyzing data in the scientific and engineering communities because it plays a key role in enabling researchers to visually communicate important research results.” said Richard Mitchell, senior scientist at Systat Software Inc.
