Company will also showcase the recently launched Massivit 5000 system.

At the Massivit 3D stand #E7922 at RAPID + TCT 2021, visitors will experience live demos of the Massivit 5000 abilities to print at fast production speeds, empowering manufacturers in the automotive, marine, rail, defense and other industries, to produce large, custom parts within hours instead of days, company says.

The Massivit stand will be equipped with the recently launched Massivit 5000. Based on the company’s Gel Dispensing Printing (GDP) technology, the Massivit 5000 introduces new resolutions, print modes, and automation capabilities. At the stand, Massivit will also demonstrate models of the Massivit 10000 system, coming in 2022. The Massivit 10000 represents a shift in the process for composites molds manufacturing, enabling their production of large-scale molds within days instead of weeks. The Massivit 10000 launch is planned for early next year, but visitors can be introduced to this technology, its capabilities and have access to early-bird benefits.

Massivit 10000 Technology

The Massivit 10000 was conceived to overcome the tooling bottleneck by digitizing the process, the company says. It leverages thermosetting polymer casting materials that provides high HDT (Heat Deflection Temperature) and low CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion). The Massivit 10000 leverages the company’s newly developed technology called Cast-In-Motion (CIM) that combines ultra-fast additive manufacturing with direct casting of industrial-grade, thermoset polymer material.

Massivit 3D’s Cast-In-Motion technology enables direct casting of the mold (“direct female”), eradicating the need to produce the initial master (or plug). This reduces existing 19-step workflows into four steps. In addition, the Cast-In-Motion technology also offers geometry freedom for complex designs.
