Hexagon Launches Inspire Software Solution

Software release from Hexagon designed for portable probing and scanning; this new metrology software package targets new users and multi-skilled operators.

Hexagon Inspire Software Solution

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division has released Inspire, a new metrology software package designed for portable probing and scanning applications. Created with a focus on usability, this intuitive software is easy to learn and makes complex measurement operations simple and repeatable, the company reports.

Inspire is a comprehensive portable metrology software solution that simplifies measurement processes for measuring arm and laser tracker operators, saving time and improving productivity. Probing and scanning activities are handled in a single interface, so users can switch effortlessly between devices and measurement methods to reduce time and ensure the inspection technique is right for the job, according to the company. Adaptive measurement modes reduce the level of software interaction required, so users can spend more time measuring.

“Inspire represents next-generation metrology software for the next-generation user,” says Ken Woodbine, product line manager for Metrology Software in Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division. “Manufacturers today have increasingly multi-skilled teams who simply don’t have time to learn and maintain knowledge of complex software packages. With Inspire, we’ve deliberately reduced the complexity of the interface, so day-to-day measurement operations can be completed in just a few clicks. Your operators can spend more time measuring and less time navigating through screens. The intuitive interface inspires confidence, while you still have a really powerful metrology toolset at your fingertips.”

Inspire supports import from all major CAD formats and provides alignment functionality as well as feature measurement, analysis and reporting. It offers improved efficiency and quality control for a variety of simple and more advanced measurement processes, from the inspection of small size parts to large-volume jobs.
