EOS Introduces New Metals for Additive Manufacturing

EOS, a provider of design-driven and industrial additive manufacturing (AM) solutions, has added two new metals to its product offerings.

According to a company press release, the two metals are Titanium Ti64 ELI, and StainlessSteel 316L. Both metals are well suited for medical implants, as well as surgical instruments and orthopedics. They are also corrosion resistant, biocompatible and can be processed on the EOSINT M 280 metal laser-sintering system.

“A broader variety of titanium and stainless steel materials mirrors the ever-changing requirements among our customers and opens up new fields of application,” says Christiane Krempl, product marketing manager metals at EOS.
