Integrated Engineering Software (IES) makes available its Version 11.0 upgrade. The upgrade is for all the various software tools in its large suite of electromagnetic analysis products. 

IES is led by its founder, Dr. Bulent Yildir. Since 1984 IES has offered an innovative suite of simulation tools suitable for most electromagnetic applications. It is the only software provided to obtain Membership status with NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association), an ANSI (American National Standards Institute)-accredited standard developing organization, according to IES.

IES says users will find Version 11.0 to be significantly faster than previous editions, thanks to updates in how the software organizes setup of new and pre-existing models. Particular emphasis has been given to more efficient operations in the Multiphysics program, including 2D, axisymmetric and 3D geometries. The changes span across electric, magnetic, thermal and particle trajectory applications. 

Other highlights include new application programming interface functions to improve transfers to and from IES applications. 3D models now use self-adaptive solving by default, and there are new Model Summary and Preview Image commands.

The message area inside the IES suite now has tabs specific to Outputs, Solver, Warnings and Errors. There are also updates to the Model Library, improving transfer of analysis projects.

The company says its combination of boundary element method, finite element method and finite difference time domain solvers makes it the best choice for multidisciplinary analysis in electromagnetics. Key benefits cited by the company include direct import/export with CAD tools; efficient multi-threaded code parallelized for speed; high-resolution graphic representations; and automated meshing with removal of intersecting geometries.
