Dear Desktop Engineering Reader:
Data translation is a tough business. It’s a mathematical nightmare, and data translation vendors are constantly faced with re-inventing the wheel as application developers extend and enhance their software and kernel developers add cool new capabilities. It takes a lot of time and effort to get data translation right, which means that application developers are frequently a step or two ahead of the data translation outfits. And that means that you end up hitting the wall and maxing out your workstation’s abilities.
A case in point is the spreading ubiquity of 64-bit software. Truth be told, the 3GB memory limitation of 32-bit applications and the ever-bigger design files you need to develop have grown so large that 64-bit software had to be. Data exchange, however, was still written for a 32-bit world, leaving developers in a scramble to catch up. Not any more. TransMagic has come through for you with a 64-bit version of its TransMagic Expert data exchange software. This is not a fixed version of a tried and true tool. TransMagic 64-Bit is engineered for modern 64-bit engineering software.
TransMagic 64-Bit offers 160+ options for translating files, the ability to read and write CATIA and other major MCAD files. Its automatic repair wizard can handle most any surprise you toss at it, and the solution is available in standalone, workgroup, or enterprise versions. But the real thing is that TransMagic 64-bit means that data translation has moved into the modern times of engineering workflow. 64-bit data translation is also said to be faster, and it can handle those 1GB behemoth files some of your guys create.
Data translation is the unsung hero in the design-through-manufacturing process. It’s the hard-working tool that is critical to efficient workflow and assigned a next-to-impossible job. TransMagic has earned its stripes in the field and, by coming out with TransMagic 64-Bit, it has demonstrated why.
You can learn more about TransMagic 64-Bit from today’s Pick of the Week write-up. Make sure to hit the link to the registration-free videos to see how easy these guys have made the data translation process. You can also sign up to download a full-function evaluation unit of an earlier version of TransMagic. I could not find an evaluation unit for the 64-bit version at this time; the solution was announced barely a week ago. But you can still get a real good idea of what you can leverage with TransMagic 64-Bit. This is a good one, folks.
Thanks, pal.—Lockwood
