Data Translation has announced the VIBpoint Precision Measurement System for sound and vibration. VIBpoint is a series of vibration measurement products for sound and vibration applications including noise emission monitoring, predictive maintenance, and shock analysis.
The series includes both USB and Ethernet (LXI-compliant) hardware options that are supported by the VIBpoint Framework Application, providing synchronization of all 16 IEPE channels for vibration analysis and monitoring applications.
The VIBpoint Precision Measurement System provides data analysis using FFT (Fast Fourier Tranforms) modes for linear, exponential, and peak hold. The data can then be displayed or saved to disk. VIBpoint is available in USB or Ethernet versions and comes in modular packaging with all necessary interconnect cables.
Both solutions offer 24-bit simultaneous analog inputs. The Ethernet version includes ISO-Channel inputs that provide 1000V galvanic isolation for signal protection in rough industrial environments. In addition to the data analysis functions, the included VIBpoint Framework Application software supports the features of the hardware and allows the user to discover and select available hardware, configure all input channel settings, and save/load hardware configurations.
