Have a design engineering project you are particularly proud of? See your work showcased (and potentially win an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card) by entering our Celebrating Engineering Innovation contest.

Digital Engineering, in partnership with Dell and NVIDIA’s Advanced Product Development Resource Center, will celebrate the engineering achievements of our readers via the inaugural Celebrating Engineering Innovation contest.

The APDRC is a repository of resources and information that can help design engineering teams capitalize on digital disruption through the use of advanced design and computing technologies. Digital Engineering and the APDRC want to showcase how readers are using these technologies to create innovative products and designs. Winning entries will be featured on the APDRC website and newsletter, and the grand prize winner will receive an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card.

Submissions will be accepted from April 1, 2021, to May 31, 2021. For more information and to enter the contest, visit the registration page.

Submissions should fall into one of the five categories of the APDRC product development cycle: Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Simulation & Analysis, Visualization/Virtual Prototypes, and Physical Prototype/CAM.

Entries should exhibit the innovative use of engineering software and hardware to create a new design, or to address challenges or complexity within the design cycle. According to the contest entry form:

Have you leveraged advanced engineering software and hardware to create an innovative design, solve a vexing simulation problem, generate amazing product renderings, or optimize a design for advanced digital manufacturing? Share your success stories with us!

Did real-time simulation or rendering help you get a new product to market in record time? Were you able to beat an incumbent competitor using a fully connected workflow of digital, GPU-accelerated design tools? Were you able to perform high-end visualization and generative design, all while communicating with remote customers and colleagues in real-time?

Submissions should include a short description of the project, along with details about the hardware and software used, and the entrant’s contact information. (Entries can also include images, screen shots, and video, but these elements are optional.)

You can access the entry form here. For more information on the APDRC, visit the website here. Questions? Contact us at [email protected].
