AIP Aerospace Introduces Ascent Aerospace

The new unit will support tooling, automation and engineering services.

AIP Aerospace, has launched a new unit of its organization, titled Ascent Aerospace. This wholly owned division allows the company to expand its services and manufacturing capabilities to its customers.

Ascent Aerospace will be divided into two groups, according to the company. Ascent Tooling is to represent tooling businesses serving the industry. The Ascent Integration & Automation will focus on customers’ requirements and technology developments. This includes consolidating designs, controls and automation assistance.

Ascent Aerospace will also feature Ascent Engineering, an engineering services organization that will provide design and analysis services.

“Since its formation in 2012, AIP Aerospace has built its leadership position through both acquisition and organic growth” said Brian Williams, CEO of AIP Aerospace.  “Our strategy calls for continued organic growth as we emphasize factory automation in an environment of rising aircraft build rates, which is driving customer demands for increased productivity and lower manufacturing costs.  Linking full-line integration and factory automation with our tooling technology allows us to provide unique solutions that greatly streamline aircraft manufacturing.  We will also continue to look for acquisitions that fit our strategy of serving the aerospace OEM marketplace.”
